Indução hormonal da lactação em vacas com problemas crônicos da reprodução.
Resumo

Foi conduzido um experimento com o objetivo de se obter a Indução hormonal da lactação em vaca com problemas da reprodução. Os hormônios foram administrados em dois níveis durante 20 semanas, em dias alternados, num total de 60 doses de cada hormônio por animal. Os níveis utilizados foram A: 100 mg de Progesterona o 400 ;4g de Benzoato de Estradiol; B: 200 mg de Progesterona ( 800 de Benzoato Estradiol. Todas as vacas tratadas iniciaram a lactação. porém houve grande variação Individual e o nível de produção foi baixo. Quanto à reprodução, observou-se que 50% das vacas tratadas conceberam e tiveram gestações normais.

Hormone induction of lactation in cows with chronich reproductive problems.
Abstract

Eight Holstein dry cows with chronic reproductive problems were utilized for induction of lactation. The cows were divided into two groups of four cows, and were injected three times weekly for 20 weeks with the following hormones: A) 400 g 17 B estradiol and 100 mg progesterone, and B) 800 g 17 B estradiol and 200 mg progesterone. Two days after the last hormone Injection, cows began to be milked 2 x day, and after the 3rd heat period, following the onset of lactation, cows were inseminated. All cows produced some milk, but one (treatment A), died during the beginnig of lactation, and one (treatment B), was not milked due to the extremely small yield. Four out of the remainder six cows were in milk for 365 days, one for 239 and the other for 267 days. Milk yields were well below normal lactations and variable, being 703, 1,666 and 2,706 kg in treatment A, and 122, 621 and 1,338 kg in treatment B. Four of the treated cows conceived and had normal gestations.
